My daughter & I started a website WWW.FAIRYGIFTMOTHERS.COM and between that and purchasing inventory we are left with little to no money to promote or get our site marketed. Any free places to go? Any ideas on how we can get traffic to our site to get much needed sales? I have resorted to a very SLOW way and that is by chat in games on other sites and here at YA, also business card handouts & flyer’s. I researched all the different marketing tools and pay per click stuff. The are way out of our league. Would asking people to email this website out to everyone on their address list be a good way? Need some out of the box thinkers here, ideas?

we do have a list of all customers that wrote checks for’
the last 3 seasons and are getting emails for them and
planning to set up an effective website that will generate
emails from existing and potential customers that visit
the site ..CAN WE USE AN EMAIL SERVICE TO HANDLE
OUR EMAILS EFFECTIVELY OR SHOULD WE DO IT IN
HOUSE??

The problem i have is that I dont hold any official marketing qualifications and generally get overlooked for email marketing exec roles as a result. I end up being in roles that are part sales/part marketing.

In my current job I’ve brought in new email marketing ideas, and started the company off with email campaigns with immense success.
Because of this other departments now want a piece of the action. But rather than me doing the campaigns for them, they are handing all responsibility to marketing manager. Im not happy.

Will it be wrong thing to ask to be in charge of all email marketing in the company?
